Since launch, The gaming community has been asking for a Mobile Version of Apex Legends. The rumors were always there about it, but at the end of last year, it was finally confirmed by Blake Jorgensen (CFO of Electronic Arts), that yes they are working on Apex Legends Mobile, and players can expect the game to arrive on the mobile platform, somewhere in 2021.
He further stated that to roll out a Mobile Game in China, you must have a partner based in the country. So we are working with a partner there to develop as well as launch the Apex Legends Mobile version. However, we cannot reveal the name yet, but we are very excited about this opportunity and will reveal further details very soon.
Now going by the rumors in the Apex Legends Community, we can short down the list that EA is either working with NetEase Games or Tencent Games to release the mobile version of Apex Legends.
In recent times, Tencent Games has shown keen interest in creating a mobile version of famous titles. They have already developed and published PUBG Mobile, Arena Of Valor, Call of Duty Mobile, and other well-known titles.
Considering the experience and funds that Tencent holds, it is no doubt that EA would want to partner with them to release Apex Legends Mobile. Thus, though not officially announced, it’s obvious that the partner in China, which EA’s CFO talked about, is no other than Tencent Games.
